Habitat Wake’s two Lake Wheeler homes will complete an eight-year build project in the neighborhood. Since 2014, Habitat has built 11 townhomes and two additional duplexes off Lake Wheeler Road. Thanks to a grant from Schneider Electric, these homes will also feature solar panels in addition to Habitat Wake’s standard home features: open concept dining/living room; charming back patio with a quiet view; kitchen with ample countertop space; Energy Star appliances. Both new Lake Wheeler homes will be sold at appraised value to families who qualify for Habitat’s affordable mortgages.
